GSA seeks to create a safe and affirming space for Muirlands LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and their allies. We come together weekly to socialize and build community, leadership skills, and informed advocacy. We also share ways to increase the climate of safety and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ students in all their multi-faceted identities on our campus. Finally, we also seek to spread the message that ALL people deserve kindness, compassion and acceptance.

HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FORMER CLUBS:

A Book Club

Students in the ABC Club read and discuss books to achieve higher level of thinking and reading. Readings and discussions outside of Zoom time meeting will be in Google Classroom.

Anime Club

The Anime Club  is to make new friends! Through these hectic times, we need to take a deep breath and just relax, make new friends, and talk about anime. All students are welcome to join! Some activities may require paper and pencil.

Gaming Club

Students in the Gaming Club played video games and fostered social interactions among students while online.

Ally Action

The Ally Action club teaches students what bullying is and encourages them to help out and stand up for others. Our mission is to empower and educate bystanders to become an Ally to a student being bullied. We work together in efforts to build a community of Ally's!

ROBOTICS

The Advanced Robotics Club provided students with previous First Lego League Robotics (FLL) knowledge with the opportunity to expand their skills further by experiencing an entire product development process and compete successfully in scheduled regional and national competitions. If you want to volunteer as a head coach and restart this club, please let Principal Luna know.
